Biography

Professor Kazuo Maeda Graduated from Kyushu Imperial University Medical School in 1947 at Fukuoka, Japan. He served as a Professor & Chairman of Dept. Obst Gyne, Tottori University Medical School from 1968-1990. He was a Dean of Tottori University Hospital from 1979-1982. He worked as the Honorary professor for Tottori University (1990) & Uruguay University (2011). He received the following awards Yugoslavian decoration (1987), Japanese national decration (2002), The Fetus As A Patient William Liley Medal (2001) and Marquis Lifetime Achiever (2017). He published many journals and books. He is the Founding Vice Chairman, Perinatal Committee (1975-1990). Japan Association of Medical Electronics in Obstetrics and Gynecology since 1978). President and honorary member, Japan Society of Perinatal and neonatal medicine, since 1991) Chairman, Joint Committee, Jap Socs Med Biol Engin & Obstet Gynecol (1970s-1980s). Chairman, Min Health Welfare Study Group on Ultrasound Safety (1970s). Memb WFUMB Comm Ultrasound Bioeffect and Safety (1980-1994). President, Japan Society of Perinatology (1984), Neonatology President(1979), Federation Asia Oceanea Perinatal societies (1992-1994). IV Congress President, Federation of Asia Oceanea Perinatal Societies at Tokyo (1986), III Congress of International Society The Fetus as a Patient at Matsue (1987), II Congress of Computers in the Care of Mother, Fetus and Newborn at Kyoto (1989), Fellow, Federation of Asia Oceania Perinatal Societies (1994).
